FALL PREVENTION DEVICE - FIBRE STROPS

Vanguard 'Fall Prevention Device' (FPD) were designed and developed to conform to the latest IMO/MSC 1327 guidelines.

• Vanguard’s FPD fibre strops are made of state-of-the-art synthetic fibres which have high tenacity and low elongation making them more durable.
• Type approved by Class.
• High strength-to-weight ratio - 15 times stronger than steel.
• Weather proof - high level of UV, saltwater and chemical resistance.
• Fitted with thimbles at both ends - enabling fitment of the FPD strop to the floating chain.
• Lightweight - easy to handle.
• Ease of use - A simple "Plug-and-Play" item, no crew training necessary, no modification to lifeboat required!

Fitted with thimbles at both ends, it allows the fitment of the FPD strop to the floating chain ‘Master Link’ and release hook ‘Safety Pendant’ via shackles. Lifeboat storage rack and instruction decals, as well as shackles are supplied as standard items.
